The Pain of Teething Isn't Just Your Baby's...

On the one hand, you know that when it's done, you won't have to mash up all of your baby's food anymore. You won’t have to make up a separate
menu for every meal. You won't have to worry so much about your child choking on big pieces of food. In short, you’ll be able to give him a little more independence.

But then there's the other hand. The crankiness, the sleepless nights, the sometimes constant pain... This is the often harsh reality of teething: a necessary evil, an inevitable step in your baby’s growth.

"Every child is different," says LaDawn Stead, of Spring, Texas. And she should know; a mother of 6, she is currently enduring the teething stage with her youngest son, seven months old. "It can be a long process; you just don't know what to expect!" The first symptom for her son Ryan was excessive drooling. "He can go through four outfits a day," she says. "And he wants to gnaw on anything he can reach."  Another very common symptom.

"I know that good will ultimately come of teething, but at the moment, I can't really appreciate that," says Karina Conner of McKinney, Texas. Her three month-old is already showing symptoms of teething, though teeth may not appear for several months.  With him, symptoms are uncharacteristic crankiness, slobbering, and slight diarrhea probably as a result of physical distress. "This is my third time going through it, and I'm already dreading the months ahead."

These moms' experiences are extremely typical. In fact, symptoms can range from drooling to rashes, low-grade fevers, coughing, swelling, and runny noses.  Teething can be a painful process, and cutting teeth can put undue stress on your baby's young system.  Mothers often feel helpless to ease their baby's pain.

"I didn't like what was on the market…"LaDawn and Karina have something in common besides their multiple experiences with teething babies. "The only things I knew to try for relief were teething rings, topical gels, and acetaminophen," laments Karina.  LaDawn agrees, "and the rings only helped slightly with front teeth, and not at all with sleeplessness."

The two mothers agree that topical gels were undesirable for a couple of reasons. "Have you ever had that stuff in your mouth?" poses Karina, who
doesn't trust a baby product until she tries it out herself.  "It tastes awful and numbs your mouth, tongue, and throat. I found it uncomfortable, and my
babies didn't like it.”

"The gels never really worked for my babies," agrees LaDawn, "because it's really only effective if you apply it directly to where the pain is, and I couldn't know where that was!" Other concerns mothers have is that
most topical gels on the market rely on Benzocaine, an anesthetic, to numb babies' gums.  "Mostly I resorted to Tylenol," they both admitted, but not without concern. In fact, many moms use acetaminophen to ease baby's pain, and then worry about overmedication.

"I basically just try to suffer through it, knowing it could take several months before the process is over," says LaDawn. "We're into the fourth month
of it with Ryan.”

The Alternative You've Been Looking For

Hyland's offers a solution based on a radically different approach. Hyland's soft-dissolving Teething Tablets use microdoses of natural medicines that support dentition and ease pain. Because they are natural and contain only small doses of medicine, Hyland's Teething Tablets carry no risk of overdose or side effects. In fact, they can be used safely with other pain medicines.

But that probably won't be necessary.  Because the most important thing about Hyland's Teething Tablets is that they work. For over 60 years, moms have trusted this 100% natural, homeopathic approach to easing teething pain.

The homeopathic approach relies on small doses of natural ingredients to stimulate the body's healing process instead of large doses that create
undesirable side effects. For instance, Belladonna is an ingredient in the tablets, which in large amounts could be toxic, but in minute amounts, homeopathic Belladonna helps the body to heal and would never be toxic to your baby. Even if your baby accidentally swallowed an entire bottle of Hyland's Teething Tablets, there is little chance of experiencing side
effects. The homeopathic approach allows for a very large margin of safety.

"I have a picture of my daughter Tabitha sleeping, holding the bottle of Hyland's Teething Tablets, which says it all." Michelle Moses of Germantown, Maryland never worried that the tablets were acting as a sedative, though some parents may think so by the results. When Hyland's Teething Tablets start working to soothe your baby's gums, the relief they
feel helps them calm down and finally get the rest they may have been needing for days. "When Tabitha starts crying and putting her hands in her
mouth I grab my stash of tablets. As soon as she sees me pouring three in my hand she immediately calms down. She quickly learned the benefit of these little white tablets."

Hyland's is the different approach many parents are seeking. The all-natural approach to pain relief brings a safety that other treatments can't provide.  Instead of numbing the mouth, the quick-dissolving tablets resolve teething pain more quickly than other treatments.

Since learning there is another option, LaDawn has been using Hyland's for a month. Her only question is this: "Where was this five kids ago?"

What Other Mothers Are Saying About Hyland's Teething Tablets

I bought your teething tablets at Wal-Mart, and I swear by them. I have two boys, and I wouldn't use anything else. I recommend them to everyone I know with teething toddlers. I am hoping to find some earache tablets soon and I hope they work as well as the teething tablets do!! My mom even tells her friends to use them on their kids! Thank you so much for helping me, my husband, and my boys through such a rough part of childhood!

I had to write you to tell you I have been using your teething tablets for the past 40+ years. I first tried them with my first child. I did not like the other products on the market because when you rubbed them on the gums the
child would just suck it of. When I spotted your product I decided to try it….

It has worked SOOOOO well that I tell everyone about them. I am now on the 4th generation (my great-grandson is using them) my youngest granddaughter used to get the bottle and take it to her mother when she was about 1 or 2 years old. She knew they worked and when her gums or teeth would hurt she wanted them.  I give them as baby shower gifts or anytime...Please don't ever stop making them. We are a family who loves this product.
