Corona Chamber of Commerce Welcomes Hyland’s Masters Athlete Mike Ehredt
The Project America Run Founder will be honored at the Chamber’s annual Veterans Day celebration
Corona, CA – November 5, 2014 – Hyland’s Masters Athlete, Mike Ehredt, will be honored as a special guest at the Corona, CA, Chamber of Commerce during their Veterans Day Weekend activities. Since 2010, Ehredt has inspired thousands through “Project America Run,” his 6,570-mile personal journey to honor America’s fallen soldiers.
Ehredt is an ultra-marathoner, personal trainer, and coach who believes that big dreams are achievable with proper planning, training, and taking care of one’s body. In 2010, Mike ran 4,424 miles from Oregon to the coast of Maine, stopping every mile to plant an American flag inscribed with the name, rank, age, and hometown of an American soldier who died fighting for their country in Iraq. In 2012, Mike ran 2,146 miles from Canada to Galveston, TX, to honor every fallen soldier in Afghanistan. Throughout Project America Run, Ehredt remained true to the purpose of his endeavor – to honor each and every fallen American soldier for the sacrifices they made on our country’s behalf.
Ehredt’s video synopsis of his Project America Run journey, titled “One Life, One Flag, One Mile,” recently went viral, reaching over 300,000 views on YouTube. After viewing the film, Corona Chamber Officials invited Ehredt to be a guest speaker at the Veterans Day celebration hosted by the Chamber and Valencia Terrace retirement community on Tuesday, November 11th. Ehredt will also be a special guest at the Chamber’s Monte Carlo Night Extravaganza on Saturday, November 8th.
During his stay in California, Ehredt will also pay a visit to the Hyland’s headquarters in Carson. Ehredt credits Hyland’s homeopathic medicines for helping him stay healthy and injury-free through Project America Run II, during which he ran 81 consecutive marathons. While at Hyland’s, Ehredt will give a presentation to the Hyland’s staff, titled “12 Million Steps: Gratitude, Inspiration, and Perseverance.” Ehredt’s presentation, which includes a viewing of his film, brings a unique perspective on the Power of Perseverance and how it has influenced his life and others.
