Response from the Newsletter question: What happened when you introduced your newborn to your firstborn?
"My 4 year old son wanted to know if he could put the baby back inside my tummy. When he got older he said that he could have that baby. Now he tries to be the parent. He told me a few weeks ago that he was the parent and I was the child. Then he tried to pick up the baby. My 2 year old daughter has adjusted well she will go get her baby doll and walk around with it under her shirt, like she is breastfeeding it. When she gets through she will put breast pads under her shirt. I have even caught her trying to pump with my breast pump. It will not be on, but she will have the bottles under her shirt, sitting on the couch watching TV."
