I was following an acne treatment with accutane since approximately 5 month and it was a real success. For the first time I had had such impressive quality results with my skin. Then 2 month just recently i got pregnant and was very happy about my situation. I was continuing my acne treatment in parallel but then i got a real shock just recently when going to see my doctor. When he heard of my acne treatment, his face changed and he was starting with a different tone of voice that i was a fool and that i should have told him before about that and most shocking was that i could lose my child. I was so so terrified i would not believe him about that at first. Then i had to stop the acne treatment completely...
my question are just to ease my mind.. i was taking it for one month i was pregnant, is it so dangerous?? will i be able to continue my treatment after the birth or i'll have to start it again?? Recently my doctor eased my mind as he checked and said that all was normal and not to worry for the baby and that will okay and that i cuold continue my treatment later. I would just like if anyone woud give me a bit more of some confirmations and reccomendations?

That is a pretty frightening experience to go through. I can not even imagine how you must have felt. I know that your skin absorbs things into your blood stream, but I can hardly see an acne treatment seriously having any adverse effects on a baby, but then I'm not a doctor am I. I suppose it's best to have gone off it for now. Baby's health is priority to acne. I am certainly gald to hear that everything is going alright. Since everything will be alright I hope you are back to that happy feeling of knowing that you will soon have a little one to care for!
